ERCC1 Is a Predictive Biomarker for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer But Is Antibody-dependent

چکیده

Background/Aim: To predict the efficacy of platinum-containing chemotherapy, ERCC1 expression levels were investigated. Studies have shown changes in performance anti-ERCC1 antibodies; therefore, predicting chemotherapy by immunohistochemical assessment is controversial. Patients and Methods: Twenty-eight patients who received underwent computed tomography evaluation 6-9 weeks after therapy initiation retrospectively identified. The tumor samples evaluated 2012 2018 using latest antibodies available at those times. Results: In 2012, H-score was significantly higher with disease progression than without (p=0.019). Although same trend 2018, there some inconsistent results between samples. Conclusion: tumors showing low had a better control rate on chemotherapy. However, since antibody changed over time, standardized technology to evaluate needed.

ERCC1 expression is a predictor of survival in resected patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

STUDY OBJECTIVES Proteins of the nucleotide excision repair pathway repair DNA damage. The excision repair cross-complementing (ERCC) gene family reduces damage to DNA by nucleotide excision and repair. Impaired nuclear excision repair could lead to increased genomic instability that in turn could lead to a more malignant phenotypic behavior of tumors. We therefore evaluated the effect of intra...

MRP7/ABCC10 expression is a predictive biomarker for the resistance to paclitaxel in non-small cell lung cancer.

We used the paclitaxel-resistant human small cell lung cancer subline PC-6/TAX1-1, selected from PC-6 cells by paclitaxel, to test whether MRP7/ABCC10 (ABCC10) confers paclitaxel resistance. We found that gene expression of both ABCB1/MDR1 (ABCB1) and ABCC10 was higher in PC-6/TAX1-1 cells than in PC-6 cells. The expression levels of ABCC10 showed a significant inverse correlation with paclitax...

Long non-coding RNA Loc344887 is a potential prognostic biomarker in non-small cell lung cancer.

OBJECTIVE Long non-coding RNA NmrA-like family domain containing 1 pseudogene (Loc344887) has been shown to be aberrantly expressed in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the biological function of Loc344887 in NSCLC remains unknown. The present study aimed to explore the prognosis value of Loc344887 in NSCLC patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS Quantitative reverse transcription-polymeras...

AKAP4 is a circulating biomarker for non-small cell lung cancer

Cancer testis antigens (CTAs) are widely expressed in tumor tissues, circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and in cancer derived exosomes that are frequently engulfed by lymphoid cells. To determine whether tumor derived CTA mRNAs could be detected in RNA from purified peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients, we assayed for the expression of 116 CTAs in...

Plasma Osteopontin Is a Useful Diagnostic Biomarker for Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

BACKGROUND Osteopontin (OPN) and carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX), which are expressed on the surface of tumor cells, are associated with hypoxia during tumor development and progression. However, the roles of these proteins in the plasma of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are poorly understood. Herein, we hypothesized that plasma OPN and CAIX levels could be used as diagnostic and...
